For a student to be eligible to participate in the class, he or she must be either a junior or senior and must have either already completed an Accounting course or be currently taking an Accounting Course. To be eligible to work in the Tiger Bank and Trust, students may complete an application and submit it to the Director or the Guidance Office.
The Purpose of the Student Bank
The Student Bank is designed to promote the education of students about the general operations of a bank. It gives the student bankers both an academic and "hands on" knowledge of how a bank functions and prepares them for the future by giving them experience working in a bank. It prepares both the student bankers and the general student body for utilizing a bank's services.
The mission of the Student Bank
Is to educate students about the functions of a bank and to provide savings opportunities and loan services to the student body. Faculty and students will be encouraged to start a savings program, which hopefully will continue through their adult years. Students will also obtain experience in handling banking services and filling out necessary forms for both savings accounts and loans.
