About Us
FCCLA is a nonprofit national organization for teenagers in Family and Consumer Science classes in both public and private schools.
Every member feels life a part of a family in the organization. Family, Career and Community Leaders of America is the only organization that puts family as their main priority. This organization has been trying to make a difference in families, careers, and communities by addressing important problems in society since 1945. Now over 227,000 members are active in a network of association in fifty states as well as the District of Columbia , Virgin Islands, and Puerto Rico.
Our projects focus on a variety of youths concerns, including teen pregnancy, parenting, family relationships, substance abuse, peer pressure, environment, nutrition and fitness, teen violence and career exploration.
FCCLA members that are involved are given opportunity to expand their leadership potential and help develop skills for life. In life students will be involved in planning, goal setting, problem solving, decision making and interpersonal communication. Things that are necessary in the home and workplace. FCCLA will prepare Students for that.
